Our Team

Neha Chugh started Chugh Law Professional Corporation in 2014 and never looked back. Neha’s love of criminal law, working with individuals and families, serving the vulnerable population, and working with community members is evidenced in all of the work that she does.

Neha went to Osgoode Hall Law School where she focused on criminal law. Neha’s focus in her practice is primarily on conducting effective trials and managing fair resolutions, with a specific focus on youth and adult mental health, litigation, and research. She has conducted a wide range of judge-alone and jury trials including break and enters, sexual assaults, assaults, mischiefs, drinking and driving, and cases in front of various tribunals in Ontario.

In her spare time Neha enjoys spending time with her family, reading contemporary literature, serving on the Board of Directors for the York Centre in Cornwall, binge watching legal dramas, and going for walks with her squad of local moms.

Yashar joined Chugh Law in 2015 and is a partner at Chugh Law. Yashar was called to the bar in Ontario in 2012 and the Barreau du Quebec in 2013. He has represented clients in courts across Ontario and Quebec.

Yashar received his L.L.B from the Universite de Moncton and his bachelors degree in
Honours Communication from the University of Ottawa. He is fluent in English, French and Farsi and continues to offer representation in both of our nation’s official languages.

Yashar represents clients with respect to a variety of issues, including criminal law, civil litigation, labor and immigration law. Yashar’s skills in cross-examination and oral advocacy have allowed him to secure favourable outcomes in a variety of different criminal cases, ranging from driving offences to drug charges and allegations of domestic violence. Yashar’s approach to the practice of law embodies the values of Chugh Law, continuing to provide approachable, affordable, and assertive legal representation

In his free time, Yashar enjoys his family life, music and playing basketball.

Robert Vitulano joined Chugh Law in 2017, focusing his practice on family and child protection law. Robert was called to the bar in Ontario in 2015. He has represented clients at various tribunals and in the Superior Court of Justice, Family Division.

Robert received his law degrees from McGill University and his Baccalaureate in Arts in Communication Studies and Photography from Concordia University. Robert takes a solution-focused approach and is passionate about helping his clients understand their rights and obligations stemming from their separation. to all stages of family law and child protection litigation.

Robert also offers Limited Scope services and is part of the Ontario Family Law Limited Scope Services Project. He can assist by drafting pleadings for self-represented individuals, offer coaching and independent legal advice. Robert is also a member of Collaborative Practice Ottawa and the International Association of Collaborative Professionals.

When not in the office, you might find Robert in his garden or taking too many photos of his dog.

Chandler Thomas joined Chugh Law as an associate in 2018 practising in both Criminal and Family law. She prioritizes her client’s needs by dedicating her time to provide them with support in navigating the complexities of the justice system. She appears regularly in both the Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.

Chandler graduated cum laude from her undergraduate degree in Social Sciences with Specialization in Criminology in French at the University of Ottawa. She then attended the University of Ottawa Faculty of Law and obtained her law degree.

She has appeared in the Superior Court of Justice, the Ontario Court of Justice, the Provincial Offences Court, the Landlord and Tenant Board and the Social Benefits Tribunal.

In her spare time she enjoys traveling, playing soccer and spending time with her family.

Shunker Chugh attended Bond University, Faculty of Law in Gold Coast Queensland, where he obtained his J.D. and received his Class 1 Distinction, Dean’s List for Academic Excellence. During his time at law school, Shunker also volunteered at the Legal Clinic.

Since 2018, Shunker has honed his skills Criminal Law, Provincial Offences, and a Civil Litigation at all levels of court from small claims court to the Superior Court of Justice and the Court of Appeal. Shunker also has experience assisting tenants at the Landlord and Tenant Board.

Shunker has appeared in the Provincial Offences Court, Ontario Court of Justice and the Superior Court of Justice.

When he is not working, Shunker enjoys spending time with family, friends and travelling.

Cecilia Kyer is Chugh Law’s Office Manager and more importantly, our Family Law Clerk. She is dedicated to assisting the family law practice at Chugh Law and is our client’s first point of contact. She is patient, kind, organized, and fearless. When she isn’t filing documents at the Family Court Counter, she is on the phone assisting clients or gently reminding lawyers of their filing deadlines. She does all of this with grace and confidence. She has combined her social service work background, her valuable experience in the child protection field, and her experience as a community member and mom to the team at Chugh Law. Cecilia is an integral part of the team at Chugh Law.
